1. Why Kemenel?

   The word "Kemenel" is taken from some fiction and game storylines I wrote a few years ago. I chose it for my domain name because it was guaranteed to be unique and untaken and because I liked it. In case you're curious, the word means "earth beneath the stars" a name of the planet that the stories occurred on.

2. What is the purpose of this site?

   Primarily to serve up any material that interests not only myself, but my family as well. Also, since I strongly support the idea of producing webpages written according to the HTML and CSS standards, it also serves as an example of a site produced with strictly standard HTML and CSS.

3. Copyrights & Credits:

   The yellow roses graphics (left-edge background, vertical and horizontal rules, direction buttons, leaf bullets) are copyrighted by Jelane K. Johnson.

   The "Kemenel" Banner was created on the web page. If you want some custom made graphics, check out their automated customizable graphics generator.

   For the forums, I use phpBB. It may not have ALL the bells and whistles, but I'm happy with the results.

   All the fictional characters, places and things relating to the books written by Steven Brust (The Khaavren Romances, The Vlad Taltos series, Brokedown Palace, etc.) are copyrighted by Steven Brust.

   All the fictional characters, places and things relating to the books written by Harry Kemelman (The "Rabbi Small" novels) are copyrighted by Harry Kemelman.

   Except where noted otherwise, all remaining graphics, text, fiction, etc. provided on these web pages are copyrighted by Iain E. Davis.

4. What tools do you use?

   Primarily, I use GNU Emacs for NT with the html-helper-mode, photoshop for image editing and World Wide Web Consortium's HTML and CSS Validators.

   My website, domain name, and e-mail are all handled by Dreamhost. I've been very pleased with their service since I switched to them around the february of 2005. Feel free to mention "Feaelin" if you happen to sign up with them.
