@CREDITS, @VERSION

@credits

@version

@credits displays many of the people who have helped write, test or just generally provide lots of good ideas for either TinyMuck, TinyMuck-FuzzBall, or GlowMuck.

@version displays the version of GlowMuck that is running and a list of which options are activated or not activated. The version will look something like: Muck2.2fb5.64 -- GlowMuck 3.1.1. The Muck2.2 portion indicates that we're based off of TinyMuck 2.2 (which Fuzzball was originally based off of). It is unlikely that will change. However, as there are new releases of FuzzBall, Andy includes the changes, thus the fb5.64 portion is likely to change. Finally, when Andy adds new features or bugfixes (including fuzzball changes), the final portion, the glowmuck version, will be changed.

The @version command will also list options that are activated, a +option means it is activated, a -option means it has been turned off. The options are:

  • Detach: Whether the muck process 'detaches' from a user account.
  • Compression: Whether the muck compresses string data.
  • Windows 95: Whether or not it's running the Windows version.
  • Disk Based: Whether or not it's using the disk-basing (leaving data on disk until needed) feature.
  • Delta Dumps: Whether or not it's using the delta dump (periodic saves of changed data) feature.
  • RWHO: Whether or not remote who is turned on.
  • MPI: Whether or not MPI support is turned on.
  • MUD/MOBS: Whether or not the MUD (Muck-Combat-Code) is turned on.
  • Roleplaying: Whether or not various 'roleplaying' related features are turned on.
  • WWW Pages: Whether or not the web server support is turned on.
  • Paths: Whether or nto the path support is turned on.
